HERDSA Graduate Attributes Symposium 2012:
Student Academic Freedom and Critical thinking
May 15th 2012, 10:00am – 3:00pm
Quality Hotel, 223 Cuba Street, Wellington

The Graduate Attributes Symposium is the first in an annual series of symposia, hosted by the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA) with support from Ako Aotearoa, that will explore outcomes for students in higher education. These events will focus on how we understand the purposes of a higher education and how these purposes are enacted in our teaching practices.

Each year, a different graduate attribute will form the core of the symposium, and in 2012 the subject is student academic freedom and critical thinking. We are delighted to have Associate Professor Bruce Macfarlane of the University of Hong Kong as our keynote speaker for this year’s event.
